Influxx Poster Drafts
At the top here is the original coloured art work. I wanted to test a few filters to see if I can improve the original image. I experimented with contrasts and brightness, however it didn't have the same effect as the original.

To do this week:
- Research CD covers & magazine adverts (detailed analysis)
- Produce mock ups of DigiPak & magazine advert
- Complete final draft of DigiPak & magazine advert. Submit by 3.10pm 18/10/13
- Begin editing our footage for the draft music video deadline (1/11/13)
By the end of this week we all need to individually complete our first draft of the DigiPak & magazine advert as well as showing all research and planning in the lead up towards the final draft.
From the 18th-21st October we will be on our half term break, we will all continue to work on the blog posting about anymore research & planning we do and also making any necessary improvements to outstanding posts.

Minimalistic & Monotonal DigiPak Examples
Below are examples of very minimalist/simplistic and mono tonal DigiPaks. I wish to create a very simple 4 panel digipak and i decided to do some research into existing digipaks similar to what I want to emulate in my own work. I wanted to make sure that there are existing digipaks out there that follow these similar conventions to ensure what i hope to create will look professional and sophisticated.

Fonts
For my poster and CD cover I wanted to research some fonts that I could possibly use. Here are three fonts which I feel are appropriate. I would want the font to remain consistent throughout the poster and digi-pak as it creates a theme which can become recognisable. I have decided to use the bottom font as it is bolder compared to the others, which will be more suitable for the poster.

DigiPak and magazine advert photo shoot
I have planned a photo shoot on Monday with INFLUXX (Ellie & Alex) to take some images for my DigiPak and magazine advert. I plan to use the same minimalist & polished look that I used last year in my AS coursework when styling INFLUXX for my magazine. I also want to use the same style of photography as last year (Terry Richardson & Viktor Vauthier) using a stark and bold style that is honest to the camera. I have proved before that this is a successful way of capturing INFLUXX and suits their style and genre of music well and it is also something that I know i can achieve to a high standard that also looks professional and sophisticated.
In post production I also plan to edit my images and create a distorted/out of focus image (using Photoshop and layering transparent images over one another), i'm not 100% sure whether or not this will work well but i still plan to experiment with the images I take before producing my final draft to submit next Friday.
I am also going to dress Ellie & Alex in the same style wearing all back to stick to the mono tonal look of the music video and the minimalist style of the band. I am also going to do the same hair and makeup as i did last year.
Ellie: straight hair, basic face makeup (foundation & concealer) to improve her complexion in the stark light, highlighter on the cheek bones, highlighting eyeshadow, mascara, eyebrow powder (to define the shape and contour of her eyebrows) and red lipstick.
Alex: basic face makeup (concealer & foundation) to improve his complexion in the stark lighting.

I will update the blog on Tuesday with the images I take and then begin to insert them into a Digipak frame playing around with different positions, lighting, cropping and frames.
