Au Revoir Simone - Somebody Who Youtube Chops

We chose these clips from the Somebody Who music video as we like the focus on the size of the location they are filming in, in this clip we like the slow movement of the camera panning round the location with wide angle shots. We want to use some of these ideas in our own music video, especially during 'slow/sweepy' parts of the song where there are no vocals.


In this clip we liked the intense close up on the artist's lips as they were singing- fashion/style wise we also like the use of red lipstick as it makes the clip more bold and interesting, it really contrasts against the muted background.


Having the camera follow the artist, filming them walking and then switching shots to having the artist walking towards to camera is another shot we would like to use in our video. The way that the artist's walk is more stylised, and catwalk inspired, instead of a more generic 'pop star' walk.


This clip features the main vocalist standing next to a window, looking out and singing- this was also a shot that we would consider using in our music video. In addition to this, the shot of one of the backing vocalists looking in the mirror at her reflection whilst singing, this was another idea we would consider using in our music video.
