This information about our audience was collected from UK Tribes and gives an insight into the types of people who we may be aiming to attract. It's possible that our band may appeal to a variety of similar people, however the group I've researched here are known as 'Indie Scenesters'. Although this information won't drastically manipulate how we present our band, it may have some influence on styling decisions and other things of that nature. Throughout our research and planning stage it will be helpful to review this information as a basic guideline concerning what our audience may appreciate. The fact that this group are known as 'Indie Scenesters' corresponds with the genre we have selected- Indie/ Synth pop. This group are described as having a 'genuine love for music' and it's explained that they enjoy 'discovering new artists and spreading the love' which will be positive for our band as they are likely to be promoted through word of mouth. 

In order to attract this specific target audience we will have to create a video which appeals to them, through experimenting with the visuals. Analysing videos within the Indie Pop/ Synth genre will allow us to note certain conventions that generate attention from Indie Scenesters. For example, slow motion footage and jump cuts are common features- as we are hoping to create a video which conforms to this genre we will have to attempt to recreate this distinctive style. 

Something else we will have to consider are our promotional methods as it is stated above that Indie Scenesters explore music through 'word of mouth' and also 'online'. As a result of this we have set up both a twitter account and an instagram for our band which are both popular sites amongst adolescents and are commonly used by people classified as Indie Scenesters. We also aim to create a digipak and poster which will encapsulate the style of our Indie Pop/ Synth artists. All of these promotional devices will aid our bands growth in popularity- coinciding with the music video for their single 'Hurricane'.
