The tripod that we originally wanted to use proved to be very difficult to use and wasn't the best quality, and couldn't really take the weight of the camera which caused it to be creaky and unreliable. It prevented us from creating smooth and sweeping shots, as it was too shaky. With this tripod the legs are stronger, with a more improved handle, with built in zoom and record button. This will be extremely useful when it comes to filming as we will not have to keep reaching to the top of the camera, it will be within reaching distance and will allow us to stop and start filming efficiently.
Here is the FireWire cable which will allow us to import the footage from the tape onto the computer which will export straight into Final Cut Pro. One end is a USB cable and the other is a section which will fit into the camera.
Filming will begin on Tuesday 8th October, therefore we really need to upload some test footage in order to gain some practise ready for the test shots.
